Biography

Dr Beissbarth recently completed her PhD in otitis media (middle ear disease) microbiology. Her research focus is the bacteria involved in sustaining chronic disease, the associated antimicrobial resistance, and vaccine impact on these bacteria, including pneumococcal vaccines.

Research Themes
  • Otitis media /   Chronic suppurative otitis media (ears)
  • Pneumococcal diseases and immunisations
