Biography:

Dr. Solomon Woldeyohannes is a Public Health Epidemiologist and Research Fellow, at Menzies School of Health Research, with a background in Biostatistics, Public Health, and Burden of Diseases research. His expertise spans the application of complex statistical methods-such as generalized linear mixed models and Bayesian latent class analysis-to both communicable and non-communicable disease research, particularly within real-world, clustered data settings. His previous work in health services research for First Nation Australians contributed to the development of Bayesian methodology and robust data analysis approach for assessing hospitals’/centres’ performance in the provision of equitable health services for chronic kidney diseases including transplantation and dialysis. Currently, under the “Return to Country”, NHMRC funded project, he serves as a Biostatistician for profiling centres/hospital in the provision of equitable health services for end-stage kidney diseases (ESKD) patients.
