The Close The Gap report - released yesterday - shows that cancer is a major cause of premature death for our mob. Recently Brisbane Murris held their annual Musgrave Park Cancer Walk to remember those who have passed from the disease and honour those who have fought it and won. The Cancer Council says Indigenous Queenslanders are around 25 times more likely to die from cancer than non-Indigenous Queenslanders. The Welcome To Country at the Cancer Walk was performed by Aunty Carol Currie, who has lost several family members to cancer.
