At the 2022 Menzies Oration in October, we had the honour of awarding the 2022 Menzies Medallion and 2021 Companion of Menzies awards.

Congratulations to Professor Joan Cunningham who is the 2022 Menzies Medallion recipient.

Professor Cunningham received the award in recognition of her leadership in working towards improving equity of access to healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and her contribution to public health as a higher degree research supervisor and mentor.

This is the highest award offered by Menzies and is awarded by the Menzies Board to an individual or group who has made a considerable contribution to health, of relevance to the Northern Territory.

The Companion of Menzies award recognises exceptional contributions and support to the continued development and success of Menzies School of Health Research.

Congratulations to Professor Simon Maddocks, Ms Olga Haven and Nanna Nungala Fejo (posthumous) who are the 2021 recipients of this award.
