Graduate Certificate of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control
The Graduate Certificate of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control offers an introduction to core concepts and skills in infectious disease prevention and control. This one-semester program includes epidemiology, statistical research methods and quantitative analysis of health data. During the course you will explore key public health principles and practices aimed at preventing illness and protecting health in the community.
Graduate Diploma of Public Health & Master of Public Health
The Graduate Diploma of Public Health (GDPH) and the Master of Public Health (MPH) will equip you with the tools to investigate, critique and respond to real world population health problems in local and global contexts. Population health issues include: climate change; food systems; marginalized groups; management of epidemics; biosecurity; disaster response; ageing; chronic and communicable diseases. Public health professionals deal with contemporary and future issues like these, with a focus on creating meaningful action to improve health and wellbeing for all.
Population health problems are growing and changing issues and we will require a growing and skilled workforce to manage them. A Master of Public Health is an internationally recognised postgraduate qualification for a broad range of health and other professionals keen to advance their career and build the capacity of their teams.
Graduate Diploma of Health Research & Master of Health Research
The Graduate Diploma of Health Research (GDHR) and the Master of Health Research (MHR) will equip you with advanced knowledge and skills in health research design and practice. These research courses are unique hybrid coursework research qualifications that develop high level research skills via coursework and a research project. You will acquire theoretical and practical capabilities in: epidemiology, biostatistics, quantitative and qualitative research methods. Students undertaking the MHR will have the opportunity to plan and implement a substantial research project.
Following the completion of the Master of Health Research students may proceed, with approval, to Higher Degree Research (PhD) training.
