Biography:

Dr Madelaine Sweeney-Nash (MBBS) joined Menzies School of Health Research in 2021, as the Clinical Research Officer for the eGFR3 Study. Within the eGFR3 Study, Dr Sweeney-Nash will be undertaking clinical assessments with participants across partner sites in the Top End, Central Australia, North Queensland and Western Australia – "I look forward to supporting improvements in kidney health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, in my role as the eGFR3 Study Clinical Research Officer."

Dr Sweeney-Nash completed medical training at the University of Tasmania in 2015 and has worked in health networks across Australia, including in prison and forensic hospitals. Dr Sweeney-Nash has an interest in the social determinants of health, and is studying a Master of Public Health at Charles Darwin University.
