Biography:

Gabriela received her PhD in Immunology from the University of Melbourne in early 2007. She worked for nearly two years in the Department of Immunology at Monash University in Melbourne on nanoparticle vaccines and regulatory T cells, before she joined the malaria team at Menzies School of Health Research in late 2008. 
 
Gabriela’s key research interests are immune regulation in infectious diseases, particularly malaria, and the contribution of immune cells to disease pathology. Current research focuses on T cell function, immune regulation and antigen presentation during acute P. falciparum, P. vivax and P. knowlesi infection.
