As the nation’s leader in Indigenous and tropical health research, Menzies discoveries are being used to better prevent, treat and diagnose disease. Our researchers make a difference by showing how the social and physical environments in which we live and deliver health care can be improved for better health outcomes.

To undertake a higher degree by research through Menzies, a candidate’s research proposal must align with Menzies' current research areas and the primary supervisor must be a Menzies’ researcher. Menzies offers opportunities to study in a PhD or Master by Research program in research areas such as: maternal and child health; preventable chronic diseases; healing and resilience; child development and education; global health and tropical and emerging infectious diseases. Supervisors provide direction and advice to the student for the duration of their candidature.
