This project describes Aboriginal people’s perceptions of why people smoke and quit, and of the acceptability and effectiveness of different tobacco control activities.

It also monitors local trends in Aboriginal smoking using tobacco sales in remote community stores and takeaways. And monitor local trends using large ABS surveys.

The project will inform tobacco control policy and practice in Aboriginal health. It will also help monitor and evaluate the impact of tobacco control activities.
