The Centre for Child Development and Education

Improving the quality of life for Australia’s children.

The Centre for Child Development and Education is a leader in applied research to break the intergenerational cycle of poor health, education and disadvantage experienced by Indigenous Australians.

We now understand that assisting children’s early development and fostering their success at school is one of the most effective ways of breaking this cycle. Our aim is to ensure that every child has a good start in life.

CCDE Director, Professor Sven Silburn (at left) welcomes the Centre’s Co-patrons, Dr Mandawuy Yunupingu and Professor Sir Michael Marmot.
