Aims:
  • To design a dietary intake methodology and accompanying training method and build the capacity of community-based Indigenous people to collect dietary intake data
  • To improve the health of people in remote Indigenous communities.
Summary:

Ten community members will be invited to collaborate in the development of the dietary intake methodology and training method, together with a group of experts in dietary intake methodology.

This pilot project will also provide insights on the acceptability and feasibility of using a dietary intake tool for Indigenous people in a remote community setting.

This will empower Indigenous people to better understand nutrition and nutritional content of foods.
