Biography:

Paula is a PhD scholar and Project Manager. Paula first started with Menzies in 1998, working in the laboratory on several different projects, including malaria, melioidosis, scabies, streptococcus, snakebites and jellyfish. As a Project Manager at Menzies Paula has implemented multiple epidemiological, data-linkage, cohort, and clinical trials studies.

Paula’s PhD research is focused on improving hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) outcomes for Australian First Nations people with a focus on early detection of HCC. Since 2014 Paula has focussed on hepatitis B and HCC research and currently manages the successful Hep B PAST partnership project.
