We are pleased to announce that the School of Law, Charles Darwin University, Darwin, Australia together with Menzies School of Health Research will hold its third Law Research Workshop and Student Showcase on Tuesday, 28 February 2017. 

We look forward to welcoming you, and value your contribution to the ongoing success of this event. This event brings together academics, students and professionals from our region and globally, to exchange knowledge related to the theme of Health and Law. This is part of a programme of events to showcase legal research throughout 2016 from our unique position as a remote and transnational institution, with guest keynote speakers.

We invite papers on legal issues relating to Health and Law, particularly topics from distinguished academic, practitioner and HDR candidates covering a broad range of issues including:

  • Assisted Dying
  • Child Health
  • Consent and experimental research
  • Expert evidence
  • FASD
  • Indigenous Health
  • Mental Health
  • Science, Technology and Law
  • Women’s Health

The showcase will include skills sessions and research training of particular benefit to HDR students and early career researchers to support and encourage individual and collaborative research.
