Karen Sheldon Catering prides itself on providing fresh, functional, wholesome food using local quality ingredients and a vast understanding of unique Australian flavours. Karen Sheldon has worked in the NT for over 40 years and is known for her passion for food, hard work and her enthusiasm for sharing knowledge. In 2006, Amanda Swift and Sarah Hickey bought into the business, both bringing complimentary skills to become a driving force for the company’s development. With decades of business success and a strong team behind her, Karen then turned her time and expertise to enhancing the lives of others. 

The company developed the highly successful Future Stars Indigenous Employment Program that works to assist some of Australia’s most highly disadvantaged Indigenous jobseekers to successfully enter the mainstream work force, in a range of different industries, including construction, agriculture, automotive, event management, hospitality and administration. The Karen Sheldon Training division has been operating in the Territory for over 7 years and is committed to working towards Closing the Gap on Indigenous economic disadvantage.
