Employment at Menzies
  MSHR employs a broad spectrum of staff across a range of disciplines in research, professional, technical and administrative classifications.

Employment opportunities arise on a regular basis for qualified and experienced personnel. The majority of employment opportunities are for fixed-term contracts to work on specific research projects. The work environment at MSHR is challenging, interesting, flexible, informal and rewarding.

  Instruction to Applicants

Applicants should include:

  • A brief covering letter of application identifying the position being applied for, and providing your complete contact details (phone, email, postal address);
  • A statement in support of your application, briefly describing how you consider yourself suitable against each of the selection criteria, using the selection criteria as headings. Applicants should ensure that they address all of the prescribed selection criteria (both essential and desirable);
  • A curriculum vitae (resume); and
  • The names, addresses and phone numbers of three referees, including your current supervisor.

  Conditions of employment may include:

Salary Packaging Arrangements

  • $16,050 of salary to spend on non-exempt expenses (before tax)
  • $5,000 of salary to spend on exempt Meal Entertainment expenses (before tax)

Other Benefits

  • 14% Employer Superannuation contribution (if employee contributes min 3% before tax salary)
  • 6 weeks Recreation Leave
  • Entitlement to Zone A Remote Area Tax Rebate of a minimum of $338 after 183 days in Darwin.
