Indigenous voices on Indigenous research

Menzies Scientific Colloquium 2011 was held on Friday 16 September 2011 at Charles Darwin Universitys' Mal Nairn Auditorium. 

A series of lectures 'Indigenous voices on Indigenous research' were presented by leading medical researchers. Topics covered included Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Cancer and early childhood development.

Presentation of the 2011 Menzies Medallion also took place.  The Menzies Medallion is the highest award offered by the Board of Menzies, and is presented annually to a person who has made a significant contribution relevant to health in the Northern Territory. For 2011, this was awarded to Stephanie Bell, CEO of Central Australian Aboriginal Congress Inc.
