Ochre – Supporting Indigenous Health through Art, began in 2008 as a fundraising art auction raising money towards research into Indigenous child health at Menzies. 

  The auction raised over $250,000 which helped to fund several ground-breaking research projects, which are currently underway.
 
Ochre has evolved into more than just an art auction. Ochre is now an opportunity for lovers of Indigenous art to make a difference to the lives of Indigenous kids by helping to raise much needed funds through events and other fundraising initiatives.
 
A further Ochre fundraising event was held on 22 November 2009 in Mornington, Victoria. The lunch was hosted by Mrs Helen Liberman and once again raised funds for Menzies' research.    Over $40,000 was raised at the lunch and every cent of the money raised will go towards the formation of an Indigenous health research scholarship at Menzies.
