Chloe Self - Graduated MPH 2011

"The course provided me with the ideal learning environment and was flexible in terms of structure, units and material. The structure of the course, which offers short courses, online units and other flexible units with a one-week intensive, allowed me to continue with full time work and determine my own study routine.
The content was motivating and also relevant to my interests in the field. The lecturers were often flexible both allowing and encouraging me to focus my learning and assessments on topics that were of specific interest to me. Usually, at least one assessment in each unit was focused on a practical element of working in public health. This has provided me with both the insight and solid preparation for working in the field.
I could not have asked for a better course. This course has given me the knowledge and confidence to finally pursue the career I have been yearning for."

“The program focuses strongly on the Territory's major health challenges and provides a very important perspective on Indigenous health issues. MSHR is flexible and effective as an educational institution and provides a great atmosphere in which to study. Student support services are excellent and small class sizes, participation by students from a diversity of backgrounds and disciplines and highly qualified and experienced staff all serve to enhance the quality of teaching and enhance the learning experience.
Menzies is a great place to study and I have no hesitation recommending the program to other students.”

"I have a great passion to help improve the health and wellbeing of Indigenous Australians, in particular children through research, intervention strategies and programs that will help break the vicious cycle of poverty Indigenous people face.
The support I have received from the staff in the Education and Training Division has been outstanding when I enrolled and throughout my first semester back at Uni. I feel I can at any time approach any staff member for advice and help in any issue that may present itself.”
