Graduate Diploma in Public Health

The Graduate Diploma in Public Health equips students with the tools to identify, understand, manage and respond to complex health and social issues in inter-cultural, local and global contexts.

It offers advanced skills in interpreting health information, including epidemiology, statistical methods and qualitative research methods, designing and evaluating public health interventions, aimed at prevention, protection and promotion of health in the community.

A unique feature of the course is the choice of specialist electives from any stream: public health practice, Indigenous health and global health.

Career opportunities for graduates will be across the broad range of public health roles in government and non-government organisations.

On completion, students qualify for admission to the Master of Public Health.
