The Graduate Diploma of Health Research graduate will be skilled in the design and methodologies of health research and application of evidence-based health research skills within the broader health sector and health professional practice.
The course will equip graduates with competencies in health research design and advanced skills in interpreting health information, epidemiology, statistical methods and qualitative research methods. Students will be able to select specialist electives from the public health practice, Indigenous health and global health streams. A unique feature of the course is the emphasis placed on applied research.
Following completion of the Graduate Diploma in Health Research students can articulate to a Master of Public Health or proceed, with approval, to Higher Degree Research training.
Career opportunities for graduates include the non-government and government sector in areas of health research.
